NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating is a work-based qualification covering surface preparation, painting, and decorating techniques. It's assessed from evidence of the work you're already doing on-site — no exams, no classroom study — so it's suited to anyone already active in this trade who wants to formalise their skills. This is the qualifying route to a Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card.

The CITB HS&E Test price of £48 includes CITB's own test fee plus our booking/processing service. Experienced Worker Red Card eligibility requires evidence of prior industry experience in addition to NVQ registration, and the card is typically valid for a limited, non-renewable period.
