A proficient taper and jointer should be able to use hand or power equipment, such as a flat box, internal corner flusher, angle/corner box, and compound tube (bazooka) , to finish and build good walls and ceilings
The drywall finishing trade certification course must have sufficient proof to show that the student clearly comprehends the basic health and safety requirements of the project. Therefore, a taper and jointer must demonstrate their capacity for and understanding of safe task completion, as outlined in the general site requirements.
For people who have substantial experience in a real-world professional field and can demonstrate their competence to get the drywall finisher trade certificate, the Level 2 NVQ Taping and Jointing assessment and training course has been developed.
This evaluation and training course gives students the chance to show off their knowledge of the foundations of drywall construction as well as their experience and skills. They can also obtain the certification that recognises their capability to perform taping and jointing work within the construction industry sector by demonstrating their abilities in a real-world professional field.
You will be evaluated based on the knowledge and performance standards that are drawn from the National Occupational Standards that are pertinent to this occupational field when you begin the NVQ Level 2 Taping and Jointing assessment and training programme. An approachable specialist with extensive occupational experience who will supervise the assessment will give you the guidance and encouragement needed to earn your certificate.

After submitting an application for the NVQ Level 2 Taping and Jointing programme, you will be given a personal assessor who will help and counsel you throughout the programme.
The On-Site Assessment & Training (ASAT) programme will be carried out by our expert assessor, so no time off from work is necessary. The designated assessor will visit you at work on a day and time that work for you. And with your help and input, the assessor will choose the assessment procedures, such as watching you work, asking you questions, and having a discussion, in order to gather information as efficiently as possible to verify your competence for drywall finisher trade certification.
To cover all assessment requirements, it typically takes two site visits; however, this may vary based on your willingness and capacity to work with the assessor.
You will discuss all facets of your employment circumstances with the assessor before beginning the NVQ tape and jointing assessment and training course in order to determine a completion date. The evaluation can begin if you and the assessment's potential finish date can come to an understanding.
